Edward R. Roybal Learning Center
The high school is situated on a 35-acre site with 104 classrooms. The project consisted of demolition of two existing buildings, completion of four existing 3-story classrooms buildings, a 3-story parking garage, construction of two new buildings, 10-acre athletic fields, and 10-acre public park, and installation of a mitigation system.
Service Provided: Oversaw the EIR certification and California Department of Education approval, design approval, construction phase, managed building commissioning, and negotiated the Park lease agreement.

Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools
A comprehensive K-12 learning center at the site of the former Ambassador Hotel in the Mid-Wilshire District of L.A. It provides 4,000 school seats, a public park, athletic facilities, restoration of the historic Cocoa Nut Grove pylon structures, Paul R. Williams coffee shop, six commissioned art pieces for the public art program commemorating the Hotel's cultural and social history, and installation of methane mitigation system.
Service Provided: Overall construction management including budget & schedule control, change order negotiation, central plant & buildings commissioning, implementation of the preservation of the historical elements and project closeout.

Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts
The 238,000 SF school is located in downtown L.A. on the prior site for LAUSD headquarters. The site features seven main buildings – 2 classroom buildings, a gymnasium, a music classroom building, a 950-seat performing arts theater used for assemblies, plays, and concerts, a uniquely cone-shaped building that functions as a library, a cafeteria, and a parking garage.
Service Provided: Daily jobsite walks, resolution to design conflicts, change order negotiations, schedule analysis & updates, document control, project closeout, and certification.

Young Oak Kim Academy
The school is adjacent to an urban housing development in a commercial area of Central Los Angeles. The school consists of two Small Learning Communities with shared facilities such as a library, multipurpose room, cafeteria and a gymnasium, a grass playground and roof-top athletic facilities as well as underground parking structure.
Service Provided: Negotiated the purchase sale agreement with MTA, oversaw the EIR certification, design, and Department of State Architect approval, negotiated and recommended construction contract approval as well as managed the project construction and closeout.

Welch Hall - CSU, Dominguez Hills
The project consisted of design and construction of a four-story, 170,000 sq. ft. post tensioned concrete facility. The facility housed the main administration offices, 200- person auditorium, health offices and state of the art technology labs.
Service Provided: Assisted the owner in developing the Design-Build bridging documents, selecting the Contractor/AE team, and managing the construction phase using the Design-Build delivery method. This fast tracked project was delivered in four separate design/construction packages.

California Academy of Mathematics & Science
The project consisted of five separate buildings housing administration, classroom, and laboratory functions covering 30,000 square feet of floor space spread over a three acre site, with a covered colonnade connecting all buildings and a central courtyard.
Service Provided: All aspects of construction from bid preparation to cost and schedule management, change negotiations, turnover, and closeout.
Construction Value: $15M




Park Avenue Elementary School
Project scope includes site environmental cleanup, modernization of school and the reconstruction of the playground.
Service Provided: Oversaw preparation of the Remedial Action Plan, actively managed the negotiations with the Department of Toxic and Substance Control (DTSC) to define the parameters of the remedial effort, managed bid and award of construction contract and conducted all community outreach meetings.

California State University Long Beach – Peterson Hall Building Modernization
The project will include modernization and renovation of Peterson Hall 2 into a new center that will consolidate multiple campus organizations, along with academic labs and studio spaces for various programs. PMCS provides on-site technical administrative support for CA and Inspection, including the review and processing of RFI’s and submittals, track & maintain all project documents and logs, and assist in estimating, reviewing drawings for compliance, reviewing certified payroll, and fully managing the close-out and turn over process for CSULB. The Contractor (Swinerton Builders) is completing abatement of lead and asbestos containing materials, pursuing Sub-Contractor agreements and processing Product Submittals for the new improvements.
When completed, the facility will have received a complete renovation, including: new electrical, data and water services; HVAC; Fire Alarm; Fire Sprinkler systems; new energy efficient roofing, windows, doors, and; sustainable interior and exterior finishes. The building will be seismically safe and ADA compliant, and constructed to achieve US Green Building Council’s prestigious LEED Gold certification for its sustainable design elements. Upon completion, the facility will be known as the Student Success Center.
